In Denmark, King Frederik the 10th ascended the throne on Sunday.
The new Danish monarch was seen welcomed in, by large and admiring crowds who gathered in Copenhagen.
The 55-year-old new monarch had his accession publicly proclaimed by the Danish Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen from the balcony of the Christianborg palace, as per tradition since the constitution of 1849.
King Frederik is taking over the crown from his mother, 83 year-old Queen Margrethe the Second, who signed the declaration of her abdication in a meeting of the Council of State on Sunday after 52 years as monarch.
