Yamaha HS5 studio monitors are known to many of our subscribers, we like to use them as an alternative for comparison in our reviews, since we really work with HS5 and believe that their smooth sound is great for most audio styles. Today, let's compare them with JBL 305P Mk II - the next generation of JBL LSR308 monitors. Both models have five-inch drivers and one-inch tweeters, a fairly wide frequency range (Yamaha 54 - 30,000 Hz, JBL 43 - 24,000) and good power (Yamaha 70 W, JBL 80 W). The controls and commutation are also similar. But JBL recently cut the price of the 305P Mk II by almost a third! What is the reason and is it worth buying - let's figure it out together in our review!
