THE QUEEN and DUKE VISIT CHARTERHOUSE

(17 Feb 1958) Founded as a Monastery in 1371, and endowed as a school in 1611, old Charterhouse was visited by the Queen and Prince Philip. They compared photographs of Charterhouse after the blitz, with the recent restoration of its historic fabric.
