Quebrada Paipote 2: Estación de Puquios y una cronología tectónica, Atacama (Chile)

The remains of the Puquios railway station in Quebrada Paipote. The ruins and some traces of the lines still remain, the traces of the sleepers are present about 100 years after its dismantling. A little further up the landscape changes considerably, the red Triassic rocks dominate the environment. We are going to make a test to get the chronology of the tectonic phases in these rocks. Finally we are surprised by a strong sandstorm.
