Testing Wood Stains and Finishes

Testing wood stains and finishes for the interior wood walls of our off grid cabin. We are testing clear polyurethane varnishes, Minwax stain, tung oil and steel wool in vinegar on pine, spruce and cedar wood.  These 3 softwood boards are on our cabin walls and we are looking for a natural wood finish to keep the cabin feel.

These are the stains and finishes tested:

1. BEAUTITONE WOOD-SHIELD Acrylic Polyurethane Wood Finish - Interior Satin
2. CIRCA 1850 Tung Oil Wood Finish
3. MINWAX Polyurethane Finish - Clear Semi-Gloss
4. MINWAX Wood Finish - Simply White
5. Steel wool soaked in Vinegar ( soaked for 2 hours for coat one and soaked for 2 days for coat 2)
