Vaginal discharge in women can
Vaginal discharge in women can be normal (physiological), or abnormal. The commonest cause of abnormal vaginal discharge is infections. The commonest infection is Bacterial Vaginosis, followed by thrush (also called candidiasis or fungal infection) and trichomoniasis (trichomonas vaginalis). Sexually transmitted infections (STI), like chlamydia and gonorrhoea, are less common infective causes of vaginal discharge. The symptoms like yellow discharge, green discharge, greyish discharge, smelly discharge etc are discussed here.
This video is meant to help you recognise when your normal vaginal discharge becomes abnormal, so that you can seek timely treatment from your doctor.
All these infections are completely curable. If left untreated, some of them may have long term impact on your health.
