Last hunting season I used
Last hunting season I used a set of inexpensive game bags that turned out to be more like "wraps" than bags. In hopes of greater durability and reusability, I made my own set of game bags using cotton canvas with paracord draw strings.
I used a surger for clean edges and quadruple stitching of the seams. I also sewed button holes for the drawstrings to prevent tear our of the canvas.
They turned out very durable, but quite heavy. I don't carry them around in my day pack, but keep them with the gear at the truck. For deep hunts, I prefer to carry Caribou Gear game bags for their quality. They're also a lot lighter and more compact.
