Chinese EV startup Leapmotor has begun selling its third model, the C11 midsize crossover, which has become a rival to the Tesla Model Y.
She also has the S01 front-wheel drive sports coupe on sale, equipped with a 125 kW electric motor and a 48 kWh battery. And also a subcompact hatchback T03 with a 55-kilowatt electric motor and a 38 kWh battery.
At the heart of the 2021 Chinese crossover Leap S11 is a modular platform of its own design. The wheelbase of 2930 mm made it possible to place a battery with a capacity of 90 kWh in the floor, but a version for 76 kWh is also provided. Overall length - 4750 mm, width - 1905 mm, height - 1650 mm, ground clearance - 18 cm.The basic version implies a single synchronous electric motor on the rear axle with a return of 272 hp. and 360 Nm of torque. The battery here is a three-component 77 kWh, heated and cooled. The power reserve of this version is 480 km according to the NEDC cycle. It accelerates to 100 km / h in 7.9 seconds.
The second version comes with the same motor on the rear axle, but with 90 kWh lithium iron phosphate batteries. The power reserve of this version is 600 km according to the NEDC cycle.
The third version is a 2021 all-wheel drive crossover with two electric motors, which has a combined output of 544 hp. and 720 Nm. The battery here is 90 kWh and the power reserve on one charge is 550 km according to the NEDC cycle. The first "hundred" all-wheel drive Leap C11 is gaining in 4.8 seconds.
The two-tone body, which is 76% made of high-strength steel, has a completely harmonious design, frameless door windows and pull-out handles. The declared drag coefficient cx is only 0.282 thousandths.
The new Chinese electric vehicle for 2021 Leap C11 is equipped with tire pressure monitoring sensors, anti-lock brakes, brake force distribution, brake assist, traction control, body stability control and four airbags.
The basic one-wheel drive version of the Leap motor C11, taking into account government subsidies, will cost the Chinese consumer 20,500 euros, the top-end all-wheel drive version - 25,700 euros. This is a very attractive price list compared to the "electric trains" of another Chinese startup - Nio, and with such prices Leapmotor may well compete with Tesla Model Y, the production of which is already localized in Shanghai.
The warranty for the 2021 Leapmotor C11 crossover is 4 years or 120,000 km, and for the battery - 8 years or 150,000 km, whichever comes faster.
