Londa shows exactly what has happened to result in thread nests on the backside of sewing machine work! She proves that it is generally Operator Error and NOT a problem with bobbin tension. Newer 'fancier' machines actually block you from threading with the pressed foot down but for all 'regular' less expensive or good older sewing machines....what is shown is 'truth'. Understand this and save frustration and/or a trip to get it 'repaired'.
EXCEPTION on vertical-riding Bobbin Systems: Singer FEATHERWEIGHT machines, where bobbin case goes in from the SIDE, vertically - looking at the bobbin IN the case, per the instruction book, the bobbin must turn COUNTER-Clockwise, which is opposite of all other machines with vertical-riding bobbins in a bobbin case - all others should rotate CLOCKWISE.
