Recipe:
Ingredients:
1 bowl sila rice
1 pound beef (cut into small pieces)
2 medium onions (chopped)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
1 medium tomato (chopped)
1 teaspoon cumin powder
1 teaspoon coriander powder
1 teaspoon turmeric powder
1 teaspoon red chili powder (optional)
Salt (to taste)
2 tablespoons oil
2 bowls water
Fresh mint, green chilli, Tamarind, aloo bukhara
Instructions:
1. Rinse the rice and soak it for 60 minutes. Drain and set aside.
2. Heat oil in a large pan over medium heat. Add the onions and cook until they're translucent.
3. Add the garlic, tomato, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and chili powder (if using). Cook for 2-3 minutes.
4. Add the beef and cook until it's browned, breaking it up into smaller pieces as it cooks.
5. Add the rice to the pan and stir to combine with the beef and spices.
6. Add the water and salt. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover, and simmer for 20-25 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
7. Garnish with chopped cilantro and serve hot!
