Course description: Infection and inflammation is the field of battle that most internists and physicians will fight on. Traditional Chinese Medicine has for centuries been developing the body of knowledge known as Fire-Heat Pathology. This class explores the TCM understanding of how “Fire” originates in our bodies, and elaborates on the concept that fire and heat is actually an adaptive mechanism that allows the body to navigate through inflammation and infections. The participant will learn diagnostic principles for different types of Fire-Heat pathology and their respective treatments. Upon completion of this class, the practitioner will gain a deeper insight into innovative methods in treating infection and inflammation.
