PLOT
The stripper Jeanette Moreneau is dumped by her boyfriend Pierre Mornet. In an angry and sad mood, she drives her car to talk to him. On the way, she has a car accident in which her face on the left is completely damaged.
In the hospital
Monique Riviere, assistant and lover of Professor Alberto Levin, tells me that her face can be completely suppressed.
But Dr. Levin is a monster who heals his patient with glands from murdered women.
During the treatment of Jeanette, Prof. Levin falls in love with her. and kills Monique.
The police inspector investigating the mysterious murders is increasingly suspecting Prof. Levin as the culprit.
The name of the producer of this horror film is Elio Ippolito Mellino and not Mario Bava as mentioned by many reference books.
Mario Bava is an alias used by Elio Ippolito Mellino,
The script for the film is reminiscent of Georges Franju's Eyes Without a Face. This film was released a few months before Atom Age Vampire was released in Italy. The film was shot in the Pisorno Studio in Tirrenia.
