"The Russian Right Stuff" was a three-part Public Broadcasting System (PBS) series about the history of the Soviet space program.  The first episode, "The Invisible Spaceman," profiled Sergei Korolev, "the mysterious genius behind the world's first satellite, the first man to orbit the earth and other early Russian triumphs in space."
