The new Patrol will have
The new Patrol will have a completely redesigned exterior, with a massive grille, two-tier headlights, sleek LED daytime running lights that span across the front fascia, and a more sculpted bumper. The side profile will feature traditional door handles, unlike the Infiniti concept that had flush ones, and a continuous glass area that merges with the rear window. The rear end will have vertical taillights connected by a decorative strip, possibly with an LED element as well.
The new Patrol will also have some major changes under the hood. According to some sources, the current 5.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 engine that produces 405 horsepower and 560 Nm of torque will be replaced by a smaller but more powerful 3.0-liter twin-turbo V6 engine that will deliver 430 horsepower. The transmission will likely be a 7-speed automatic as well.
The new generation of the Nissan Patrol is expected to debut in the next few months, and it will also be sold in the US market under the name Armada. It will compete with other full-size SUVs such as the Toyota Land Cruiser, the Ford Expedition and the Chevrolet Tahoe.
