Hindus can often struggle to explain the immense diversity in their religion, especially in comparison to Christianity and Islam. This video outlines why it is that Hinduism is so very different to the western Abrahamic faiths. Christianity and Islam are essentially salvation theologies which look to save individuals from an eternity of hell, while eastern religions are based on attaining higher states of consciousness. This, as well as other root ideas are the reasons why there are huge differences between the faiths. Once these are understood explaining Hinduism to the other becomes far easier and comprehensible.
