THE LAKE DISTRICT | DAY 3 & 4 🦆 Keswick, Hill Top, Lake Windermere, Cartmel & Sizergh

We start the day in Keswick, where after another full-cooked breakfast, we head to Derwentwater in search of red squirrels. We find some stunning viewpoints over the lake, and lush forestry and come in contact with a swarm of butterflies. From there we head into the town centre for some shopping, discovering the Conquer Trading Post and finding that all the important local produce. We then search for food, going to Bryson's Tea Room for some sweet treats and The Cornish Bakery for a sausage roll and cornish pudding. We stop at the National Trust Raye Castle for lunch with a view, then off to Beatrix Potter's cottage at Hill Top. We eventually arrive at our destination for the night at Lake Windermere, Lakeside Hotel & Spa. Here, we enjoy our stunning suite and relax in the spa, before heading to dinner. The evening is spent in our outside bubble bath and enjoying the stars in the night sky. The next morning we wake to the sunset view over the lake and are joined by a family of rabbits. We enjoy our own breakfast, before feeding the resident ducks and touring the hotel's garden. From here we head to the home of sticky toffee pudding in Cartmel Village and pick up some final ice cream and treats at Low Sizergh Barn.
