Pure Prairie League - Amie - Live at the Dosey Doe on January 19, 2019

We planned to see PPL in Spring, TX at the Dosey Doe so we stopped in the box office to pick up some tickets. Lo and behold, they had rescheduled and the show was tonight! Couple of the best seats in the house were available so we scarfed them up. What a show! House had a little equipment trouble but the guys made the best of the wait time by chatting and storytelling to the audience. They played their hearts out with a really long set. Last song was Amie, of course and then they still did a pair of encores. Afterward, they hung out and signed stuff - you just don't see bands doing that any more. And all of their merch sales go to wonderful charities. Way to go, Mike (frontman, vocals, bass since 1972!), Donnie (lead vocals, lead and rhythm), Scott (vocals, drums) John (steel guitar) and new keyboard player (and vocals and guitar), Randy Harper.
