If your Linear Smart Garage Door Opener system is not functioning correctly, you can use your operator light’s flash codes to determine the condition causing the operation problem. Anytime a condition (or problem) occurs while the garage door is in motion (or attempting to move), the door will stop moving and the operator’s light will display anywhere from 1 to 7 light flashes (depending on the issue).  These light flashes (or flash codes) are a helpful troubleshooting tool to determine the condition, cause and solution to your door operation problems.

If your garage door reverses direction during movement or won’t open or close at all, (followed by 7 operator light flashes), the system’s encoder has detected an error.
This error is often caused by either an obstruction in the garage door’s path or binding of the garage door.
To fix this issue…
Examine the garage door’s path and make sure there are no obstructions.  Remove any obstructions if needed.
If you don’t see any obstructions, your garage door may be binding, contact your Linear door professional for further assistance.
Once you resolve whatever issue is causing the error, your garage door should open and close free of any flash codes.

If you have any further questions, please use the contact information on screen.
