What is Data?

* Data are facts- raw numbers
* Data can come from surveys or research studies
* Datum (singular form)
* Data (plural form)

What is Statistics ?
===============
Raw data only has limited uses. Statistics provides us with techniques for interpreting and presenting the data in more useful and understandable form.
* Statistics are results of data analysis.
* Statistics deals with interpretation & presentation.
* Interpretation: Answer questions about data.
* Presentation: Represent data as table, chart, or graph.
