In this lecture, we will introduce the concept of electrode potential. An electrode potential is a measureable/quantifiable value that would help us predict redox reactions.
A higher potential would mean a higher tendency to gain electrons and a lower potential would mean a higher tendency to lose electrons.
A metal/metal ion electrode is explained in this lecture, and how a reversible reaction establishes on the electrode and sets up a potential.
