This is the second in a series of videos on maritime cybersecurity. In this video, we discuss the maritime transportation system (MTS) as a system of systems, identify the interconnected information communication technologies on ships and ports, discuss cyber threats and cyber attacks to the maritime transportation system, and provide examples of threat vectors on the maritime transportation system.
This video series is one of several series providing an overview of applications of cybersecurity normally not discussed in information technology or cybersecurity courses (e.g., maritime, aviation, supply chain, etc.). These videos help broaden students' understanding of how cybersecurity affects various domains.
The intended audiences for the video series include high school, community college, and lower-level university students who are interested in, or participating in, cybersecurity, information technology, or associated programs.
This video includes more technical terms and information than the first video, and is appropriate for students in a cybersecurity or information technology course.
