How to Change 18AH Batteries on a Go-Go Traveller Plus Battery Box

A quick insight in to replacing the batteries inside of a Pride Go-Go extended range 18ah battery box. This size battery box is used on the Elite Traveller (extended Range) Elite Traveller Plus (also named HD on earlier models) and the Go-Go Sport. The Go-Go LX and also had an extended range battery option available; the same battery box was also used on the second version of the Pride Go-Chair and the new ZT8. The battery box on these units was made slightly differently and has a screw located under each of the colored shrouds on the top of the battery box and the batteries are held down with straps rather than Velcro underneath each battery. The wiring to the batteries is the same as the one shown in the video.
All the batteries in these boxes normally have an 18AH battery in them but they can be upgraded to a 22AH battery. These batteries have similar dimensions but may be slightly more expensive. This upgrade will give you a slightly longer run time for you scooter/power chair.
