What an amazing time we've had spending so much time in the Dolomites this fall.

This episode comes to you from Alpe di Siusi on the Seiser Alm — a Dolomite plateau and the largest high-altitude Alpine meadow in Europe. Located in South Tyrol province of Italy’s Dolomite mountain range it’s an absolutely gorgeous place to have the opportunity to visit and a real treat of a spot to get to photograph. ⁣

⁣We photographed here over the course of several days. The constantly changing light and conditions of these mountain plateaus makes getting the perfect shot a bit of a magic trick, but definitely worth the effort.

I mention in the video that access to these areas is a little tricky. If you're heading to the Dolomites and want to get your hands on some early mornings up here, be prepared to stay close by as the road up here is restricted to guests staying on the mountain except for certain times of day. Also, there isn't anywhere to legally park anywhere near this spot, so if you're not staying close by, be prepared to get up really early for a long walk to get to your shot.

We stayed at the Seiser Alm plaza hotel, which is still about a 40 minute morning walk from where we shot. There are 2 hotels closer, the Adler Lodge and Sporthotel Sonne are both much much closer, but quite a bit more pricy.
