The history of the diffraction
The history of the diffraction phenomenon was first described by Francesco Maria Grimaldi in 1665 with the Latin name DIFFRINGERE, which means to break into pieces, which can be interpreted as the bending of light due to passing through a narrow slit or a different medium so that light will appear widen in a gap so that light no longer propagates according to straight line.
