Rebel Taliban Islamic militia forces are poised to attack the
capital, Kabul, after taking two key cities in eastern
Afganistan -- Jalalabad and Laghman.
After capturing Jalalabad, the Taliban's mullah heading its
"Ministry of Radio and Televison", Mohammed Ishaque Nizami,
decreed that un-Islamic culture would not be permitted.

morning and evening, daily. But, the situation is not favourable
for televison. ...We will not permit any un-Islamic culture, at
this moment tv can be misused...We are broadcasting news and
islamic programmes.";
