Transcript: Drive Tesla tells us that Cruise, a company owned by GM, has agreed to reduce its fleet of autonomous vehicles by half in San Francisco. This decision followed two crashes involving Cruise's self-driving taxis. The state Department of Motor Vehicles demanded the cut after an incident last week in which a driverless Cruise EV collided with an emergency vehicle. Cruise and its competitor Waymo have licenses to operate their autonomous taxis throughout San Francisco. GM has agreed to this reduction until the completion of the investigation into the crashes and the further implementation of safety actions by Cruise.
