Graveside Talk At The Burial Of A Muslim Man Murdered In London

20 year old Usmaan Mahmood was stabbed to death in Thornton Heath, south London, on Tuesday 13 June 2023. I did not know him but I know his extended family for many years. They asked me to say a few words at his burial. He was buried at the Merton and Sutton Joint Cemetery, south London, on Monday 26 June 2023. This video is a recording of what I said. I narrated the story of someone who turned their life around when they were faced with death. I addressed young people who are far from Allah that they should return to Allah before it is too late. I ended with a parable Ibn Al Qayyim gave about the life of this world in which he described three friends who went on a journey. Please make dua for Usmaan Mahmood and his family.
