"The Forbidden Kingdom" is an action movie produced jointly by Huayi Brothers and Hollywood, directed by Rob Minkoff, written by John Fusco, and starring Jackie Chan, Jet Li, Liu Yifei, Li Bingbing, Michael Angarano, and Collin Chou.
The film tells the story of a young American boy, Jason (played by Michael Angarano), who is transported back to ancient China from a Chinatown antique shop where he encounters kung fu masters Lu Yan (Jackie Chan) and Golden Sparrow (Liu Yifei). Together with the Silent Monk (Jet Li), they face numerous challenges, ultimately defeating the White-Haired Witch (Li Bingbing), the Jade Warlord (Collin Chou), and other evil forces. They return the magical staff to the Monkey King, completing their mission to save him.
