2024 Kia Sorento Up Close: The Baby Telluride

Taking a very different approach to its latest redesign from the comparable Hyundai Santa Fe, the 2024 Kia Sorento falls in line with the latest offerings from Kia, and Cars.com Road Test Editor Brian Normile got a chance to check it out at the 2023 Los Angeles Auto Show. The exterior retains a more urban crossover look in its restyle, contrasting sharply with the 2024 Santa Fe’s blocky exterior but matching its larger Telluride (and EV9) brethren. A new off-road-oriented X-Pro trim joins the lineup, as well. Inside, the interior features materials and assembly quality that could easily be included among near-luxury brands, and the addition of wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto is a big win. The big negative, however? Fitting anyone in that third row.
