He helped start the outlaw movement in country music, which was a new way of making country music. In the 1970s, he made an album called "Wanted! The Outlaws" with Willie Nelson, Tompall Glaser, and Jessi Colter, which became the first platinum country album. He also had other successful albums, like "Ol' Waylon" and the song "Luckenbach, Texas." Jennings was in movies and TV shows, including Sesame Street and The Dukes of Hazzard. He struggled with drugs but stopped using cocaine in 1984. Later, he joined a group called the Highwaymen with Willie Nelson, Kris Kristofferson, and Johnny Cash. They made three albums together. Jennings is known for his innovative style in country music.
