MUTANT ON A MISSION Season 9 Episode 4 is here, and we're unleashing HELL on Germany! Big Ron’s met a lot of hardcore legends over the years, but you sure as hell didn’t expect a former Flatland World Champ to inspire an episode of MOAM. 🚲
When Ron got the call from an old friend, Frank Lucas, about a gym that’s resurrecting the raw, hardcore golden age of bodybuilding in Germany, there was no way he was passing that up. After some insane bike tricks, Frank led Ron to meet up with 3x German Champion and IFBB Pro David Hoffman, owner of Body Power Studio.
Established in 1986, David bought the gym in 2017, vowing to preserve the grit and rawness that defined the badass era of 80s bodybuilding. With a wooden roof, palm trees, movie posters of 80s action stars, and a massive mural of Arnold himself, it’s impossible not to get amped to hit the classic machines that built these TITANIC physiques. Only the necessary machines have been updated with cutting-edge lifting technology, striking the perfect balance between old-school and innovation. Ron couldn’t wait to attack the plethora of classic machines, hitting David Curls, Superman rows, and a CYBEX bicep punisher like it was his first-day lifting.
Though David stopped competing, he wasn’t about to back down from Big Ron’s brutal shoulder day challenge. With the gym shut down just for them, it was time to bring the pain.
Ron and David went straight at it, hammering out reps on another CYBEX machine Ron had been eyeing. The workout was ballistic—Ron cranked up the intensity, flexing his guns after removing his badass pump cover. If David was feeling the burn, he damn sure wasn’t showing it—matching Big Ron rep for brutal rep.
