I bought this Excello 602 milling machine about 2 hours from home. It weighs in between 2500-3000 lbs. A good friend with a decreppit trailer saved the day. The seller was able to place it on the trailer with a forklift, I then lagged it to the rotting wooden deck and strapped it down with heavy duty winching cargo straps. Because the deck was rotten we made sure the machine was directly over the steel frame of the trailer. A rotting tire disintegrated itself during the trip home. Once home we unloaded the machine with a 10,000 lb 2-post rotary vehicle lift. If I didn't have that lift the machine would have required disassemble to pick it with the chain hoist. I built up a sturdy pallet for the milling machine to live on and used an old pallet jack to move it around. Overall this machine works very well. It has a 9x36" table and a 2HP 3phase motor which I drive with a Hitachi VFD unit. The Excello 602 is slightly beefier than a bridgeport. They were made in Canada and seem to be pretty respectable machines. This machine seems to be in excellent condition overall. I feel it will serve me well. I had a small bench top Little Machine Shop 3900 hi-torque mini mill (seig) but quickly found I needed something bigger. Instead of looking for a harbor freight mid range unit I decided to hunt for a bargain on some good "old iron." Found it. I added a VFD unit to drive the 3 phase motor and it's up and running.
