The third eye (also called the mind's eye or inner eye) is a mystical invisible eye, usually depicted as located on the forehead, which provides perception beyond ordinary sight. The third eye refers to the ajna (or brow) chakra. In both Hinduism and Buddhism, the third eye is said to be located around the middle of the forehead, slightly above the junction of the eyebrows, representing the enlightenment one achieves through meditation. Located in the centermost area of the brain, nuzzled in between the two hemispheres, lies the magnificent pineal gland—known as the third-eye chakra or ajna chakra in the Hindu system. This tiny pinecone-shaped endocrine gland (also called the mind’s eye, the all-seeing eye, the seat of consciousness, and the gateway to the soul) is the stuff of myth, magic, and legend. Chakra (chakra in Sanskrit) means “wheel” and refers to energy centers in our body. They are spinning disks of energy that should stay “open” and aligned, as they correspond to bundles of nerves, major organs, and areas of our energetic astral body. Although considered to be 114 different chakras in our body, there are seven 7 main chakras located in our astral body, along the spine, starting at its base and running upwards to the crown of the head. The astral body is the energy body residing inside our physical body.Each physical body part has a corresponding astral body part. The astral body cannot be seen or touched. This is also a reason why we cannot see the chakras.
These 7 Chakras "focalized" centers of awareness, consciousness, and sacredness in our body via which energy flows through,if our body can’t let the energy pass through all of these 7 centers, there can be an internal imbalance leading to mental, emotional , physical and psychological disorders.
