My complete set of flat water start attempts. This is training for downwind SUP foiling. The Geelong Marina on the waterfront provided a nice location with flat water shielded from the wind.
The numbers at the right of screen represent the number of successes vs attempts.
I completed 7 of 8 paddle up attempts- on the second attempt my foot slipped.
Attempt #5 looks like my best paddle up- flying in the shortest distance, least number of strokes etc. Which makes sense because before that I was finding my feet and after that I was getting tired.
I was training with a partner and we were going turn for turn, so approximately 3-4 minutes recovery between attempts.
So much to learn.

Tech specs:
Riding my 7'8" x 19"1/4 x 6" 112L board.
Axis Foils PNG1150, Progressive 325, Ultrashort Advance fuse and High Modulus Power Carbon mast.
Paddle is my own modified carbon 117 square inch blade.
I'm 6'2 approx 88kg/194lbs plus 4/3 wetsuit.
