JULIANNE MOORE AND EVA LONGORIA AT CANNES OPENING NIGHT GALA DINNER
Julianne Moore and Eva Longoria were among the stars at Cannes' traditional opening night gala dinner, Wednesday (14MAY08).
Moore stars in Cannes opening film, 'Blindness,' which received applause at its gala screening Wednesday night.
Fellow cast member Yoshino Kimura was also at the dinner, held at the Grand Salon of the Carlton Hotel.
Directed by Fernando Meirelles, the film follows the only sighted woman in a mental hospital full of people stricken with sudden blindness. She alone sees the accompanying social destruction and mayhem as society loses its sight.
The gala dinner was hosted by French culture and communication minister Christine Albanel and festival president Gilles Jacob, in the Grand Salon of the Carlton Hotel,
