In this scenario, we ask the question "What if Italy Created Greater Italy?"
Italy commands a dominating position in the Mediterranean Sea and throughout history, it has used that position to influence the world. The Roman Republic/Empire, the Renaissance, and the Italian Empire have left their marks in the history books of the Mediterranean and Europe. However, today the Republic of Italy is a far cry from the days of Caesar, Michelangelo, or Galileo. In fact, Italy is an after thought behind much of Western Europe when people think of the continent.
But there is a stirring going on in Italian politics today. A right wing coalition of political parties have risen to power and many of these parties have their roots from the desires of leaders to return to the good old days of Mussolini in the 1930s. The Brothers of Italy, Lega, and Forza Italia now control the immediate future of Italy. So what if these leaders decided to take Italy down a fascist path? What if similar leader to Mussolini were to take power today? What if Italy wanted to create Mussolini's vision of a new Roman Empire or at least a Greater Italy? Let's find out....
