Repairing/ fixing a dead car battery. (for educational purpose. Use caution wear proper safety gear)

Do not attempt unless you are aware of the process and have the proper safety gear and measures. This video is for educational purposes as requested and suitable for lead acid car batteries only. Do not attempt with AGM, Gel or Lithium batteries. If you don't know what type of battery you have, do not attempt.

I make sure the battery is discharged to absolute zero using a resistive part such as a lightbulb or adequate resistor. Mainly a lightbulb. Use extreme caution. Better with a fuse, but can be performed with a small wire that can safely blow if needed. Carefully reverse the polarity, of which periodically checking the temperature of the battery. If it rises to above 100°F, I stop the process and check everything over. Wait for the battery to cool and recheck. A warm or hot battery is dangerous. Some purposely boil the acid within to clean off the plates more thoroughly. I use this method first as it's the safest. Once reversed I test again then discharge again using the same method. Then recharge the correct direction using the same caution. Once the charger can safely take over, I allow it to do so. I don't recommend using more than 10 amps during this process for protection. Maybe 15adc once I verify it's good to do so.
Any other process by others I cannot recommend, not to say they don't work or that I haven't done so myself. But for safety reasons, this is the safest I know how with regular items others may have. Anyone with other equipment more suited usually already knows how to use it and use it safely.
