At the World Championships, the biggest and most challenging competition hosted by IFSC, Janja showed overwhelming strength with a flawless score. At that last moment, it would be hard to say that there was nothing but joy in the emotions overflowing from the queen. Still, she never stops smiling on her face when facing the audience. I could catch a glimpse of not only the strength but also the sense of "What is a professional?”🤓

世界選手権というIFSCが主催する最も大きく困難な大会で、全完一撃という圧倒的過ぎた強さを見せたヤンヤ。その最後の瞬間、何年ものあいだ頂点に君臨し続けている女王から溢れた感情に喜び以外のものがなかったとは言えないでしょう。それでも観客に向かう時の表情は決して笑顔を忘れない。競技能力だけでなく「プロとは何か」という姿勢を垣間見ることが出来ました。誰が優勝するのか？という男子と、今回は優勝するのかしないのか？という状態の女子。スポーツクライミングにとってどんな状態が一番理想なのかという議論が出来る立場にはないですが、競技を魅せることばかり考えてより重要なところが疎かになってしまわないように何かしていかないと、と不安な気持ちも抱くことが出来たのがOOにとっての世界選手権でした😊
