The Cavalry March of the Great Elector Reitermarsch (Army March I, 38 (Army March III, 72)) was created in 1892 for the Leibkürassierregiment No. 1 in Breslau. It was composed by Kuno von Moltke, city commander of Berlin and later also aide-de-camp of Kaiser Wilhelm II.

Due to its solemn character and the impressive solo fanfares in the interlude, the Great Elector Reitermarsch is often part of military celebrations in the Bundeswehr. He is often chosen for the Serenade in the ceremony of the Great Tomb. He is u. a. the traditional march of the tank grenadier battalion 421, dissolved in 2007, in Brandenburg on the Havel, the tank battalion 174 from Hamburg-Rahlstedt, dissolved in 1992, and the tank battalion 203 and the armored brigade 21 in Augustdorf.

He was named after the Great Elector Friedrich Wilhelm of Brandenburg.
