Describe a Small Business [IELTS Speaking]

In IELTS speaking part 2, you could be asked to describe a business. Actually, there are many variations on this cue card, so you have to read carefully. In today's video, however, I will specifically look at how to describe a small business.

I will guide you through the whole process, from analysing the question to making notes to picking the right language. I will even include my own sample band 9 answer to help you see what a great response really looks like.

Above all else, my advice here is to think about the business that you want to describe, then describe it. Don't just think about business vocabulary that would impress an IELTS examiner. Make your speech specific and use language that talks accurately about your chosen business.
