Hello friends, it was a sad day for me today when I heard that Canada’s folk country legend Ian Tyson had died. Ian Tyson died Dec 29, 2022 at age 89. He is one of my fave singer songwriters. His hit song “Four Strong Winds” is considered the unofficial anthem of Alberta, Canada. He pinned that song in the sixties with his wife Sylvia. The other half of “Ian & Sylvia”. In 2005, CBC Radio One listeners chose this song as the greatest Canadian song of all time on the program fifty tracks: The Canadian Version. Canada’s Neil Young later covered this song. Ian wrote this song after Bob Dylan sang him his new song called “Blowin’ In The Wind”. He went back home and wrote it. I believe he said it was in in Greenwich Village, NY early Sixties. May you RIP Ian Tyson. Your music will live on.

I forget when I did this cover of “Four Strong Winds”. Probably 3 or 4 years ago. It’s one of many that I did not upload to YouTube. This looks like a good time.  Thanks for watching. Happy New Year to you all!!!
