What Is Our Response Applause?

Many non-charismatic churches assume that any sort of clapping is directed towards humans and therefore misappropriated. Participation from the congregation at any level is usually a positive sign that the people are active participants - good leaders will direct that praise to the right direction. That being said, I think it’s OK for us to applaud one another in our services as well, but only when the context is appropriate. In general, the worship band is not there for the pleasure of the congregation, but we are all going somewhere together.
