Ingredients

White Chana -1 cup
Water - 2cups
Salt -1/2 tsp

Onion -2
Ginger - small piece
Garlic -6
Pepper -1/4tsp
Fennel seeds -1/4tsp
Curry leaves -
Salt -11/4 tsp
Tomato -2
Green chilli -3-4
Chilli powder -13/4 tsp
Coriander powder -3tbsp
Turemric powder -1/4tsp
Garam masala -1/2tsp
Hot Water -2 cups
Sugar -1/4tsp opt
Coconut Oil -
Curryleaves

Cardamom -2
Cloves -3
Cinnamon -1

Method

Take soaked and boiled chickpeas. Season the chickpeas while boiling.  Take a wok and heat some oil.  Add finely chopped ginger and garlic. Saute. Add curry leaves,  crushed pepper . Saute. Add fennel seeds. Saute well.  Add 2 onions. Add salt.  Saute well. Reduce the heat, add turmeric powder,spicy chilli powder.  Saute well. Add 3 tbsp of coriander powder.  Saute well on low flame. Add tomatoes and allow

it to cook well.  Add water if required. Stir occasionally. Grind this to fine paste when it cools down.
Add some oil to a wok. Add 2 cardamom, 3 cloves and cinnamon.saute it.add curry leaves and some green chilly. Saute. Then add the ground masala. Add some garam masala. Allow the gravy to be thick.  Add the boiled chickpeas. Add 2 cups of water.  Adjust the gravy accordingly. Add a pinch of sugar(optioal).Adjust salt accordingly.
Add some curry leaves, green chilly and oil as garnish.
You can season it with fried shallots. Close the lid and keep it for 5 mins.
