Shane Warne - A classic
Shane Warne - A classic flipper ...
Interesting to see how Warnie "sets up" Daryll here. I have read how Warne would often show a batsmen a slow, obvious flipper so the batsmens thinks they can read him; only to slip in a deadly quicker one later on, catching the batsmen off guard.
This, I feel, is a classic example of this.
--------------------------------
When I first saw Shane Warne's reaction (at 1:45) I must admit, I had a good laugh. Anyone else who knows a bit about the relationship between Daryll and Shane will at least have a wry smile at this.
Lets just say, Shane had a great dislike of Daryll, and always got a great satsifaction from getting Daryll out... and he manage to get him out quite a few times.
I can imagine alot of commentors speculating about what Warnie actually said. Lets just accept Warnie used some naughty words and leave it at that.
Besides, I genuiely do think he was saying "Well played, Daryll"....
