President Bola Tinubu has inaugurated the Presidential Economic Coordination Council (PECC) and launched the Economic Stabilisation Programme.

The programme aims to ensure food security, improved power supply, enhanced social welfare and healthcare, increased energy production, and overall economic transformation.

During the meeting, President Tinubu emphasized the need for innovative solutions to the country’s economic challenges and announced measures to stabilize the economy, enhance job creation, and foster economic security.

The interventions include initiatives to increase electricity supply, oil production, and support for agriculture, healthcare, and small businesses.

VP Kashim Shettima and Minister of Finance, Mr. Wale Edun, also highlighted the government's commitment and plans for economic advancement.

Tony Elumelu expressed confidence in the president's target of two billion barrels of crude oil production per day.
