July 9 2024 Webinar: New EPA Drinking Water Dataset + EJScreen Metric

In 2023, working with SimpleLab and the Internet of Water Coalition, EPIC engaged over 120 academic, nonprofit, industry, and government partners to prototype the first national dataset of drinking water service area boundaries. That work catalyzed a broader effort at the EPA, which, in July 2024, culminated in the release of the first comprehensive map of water system service area boundaries, and the first drinking water justice metric in EJScreen. This webinar brought together EPIC's Technology Director, Jessie Mahr, panelists from across EPA, and 300 interested advocates, state and federal staff, NGOs, and data experts working in this space to discuss EPA's milestone dataset—and what it means for the future of drinking water justice.
