Nathan Clark delivered a statement on Sept. 10 about his son Aiden before the Springfield, Ohio City Council, calling out how politicians like Donald Trump, JD Vance and others have used his 11-year-old son's tragic death for political purposes.
Aiden Clark died in August after he was ejected from his school bus following a crash with a minivan. More than 20 other students who were on the bus were injured in the crash.
The driver, Hermanio Joseph, an immigrant from Haiti, was later found guilty of aggravated vehicular homicide and involuntary manslaughter. In court, he testified that the sun was in his eyes, which caused him to be unable to see the bus.
