Jones notices the changes in the relationship between Xiaoman and Blair; she goes to Xiaoman and says that she’s in favor of Blair and that she doesn’t want Xiaoman to go between them. At the same time, Blair also talks to Bruce about Xiaoman. It’s obvious that Blair is in love with Xiaoman. He also tells Bruce that he didn’t mean to insult him and that he called him the “sick man of East Asia” out of the habit. Bruce replies that he’ll make the habit go to hell forever.
With the instruction of Master Ye, Bruce finally understands the reason behind the skills of returning others’ strength to themselves during the combat, switching between attack and defense, and the way to gather strength. At midnight one day, he uses his hand to smash a piece of board, just like Master Ye did before.
Blair has been diagnosed with aplastic anemia and must go to the US for proper treatment. He doesn’t tell anyone of his leaving but asks his nursery maid to tell Bruce that he can borrow all the materials on martial arts that he has collected at home. At the news, Bruce rushes to the airport just in time to meet Blair. Blair tells him to beat David Copperfield for him and to treasure Xiaoman too. Bruce is sad and goes back to the training room, practicing boxing madly. Smith feels sad too, for he thinks that since Blair is ill, no one from the school can beat David Copperfield. But he changes his mind after seeing the “one-inch punch” by Bruce.
