I watch this show on my Kindle, and I'm a few seasons behind everyone. I find a lot of "in plain sight" info on this show and others.

This is a scene of NSA characters talking about hot mic interception they listened to on Alicia's phone when it wasn't even turned on.

Apparently, there is/was software utilized by NSA to spy called Dropout Jeep. The agency can eavesdrop (hack is better word) by turning on your phone's mic and broadcast anything in 20 foot radius.
