Micro Nutrients vs Trace Minerals & Elements (For Lawns and Gardens)

In the lawn and garden space it's easy to get fixated over applying macro-nutrients all the time. Occasionally micro-nutrients get applied but in my experience I see very few people that place much importance on the trace nutrients frequently labels as trace minerals and/or elements. The simple fact of the matter is that there are far more nutrients that plants can use than most people apply. When these elements are deficient in soils the plants will continue to grow but they won't be quite as healthy or vibrant than if they were all there. I think adding trace minerals are pretty important and I recommend applying them once or twice year to a lawn at a low application rate. In my lawn I'll be timing my application with spring and fall aeration so that I can get these minerals down into the soil faster and deeper. The two main products I recommend are the two main one's featured in this video, Azomite and Greensand. You can find these at specialty garden stores usually but not always.
